Welcome to WikiLaw Project

WikiLawProject is an experimental project in democracy. Featuring a copy of each state’s laws there is a second version of each law which is editable by the public in a Wiki environment enabling the public to rewrite state laws.

Too democratic? We don't think so.

Our mission is to promote more thoughtful creation of government policy through evolving discussion. Our plan is to give everybody direct input on the topic. Our goal is to enact change by harnessing user support to develop and push referendums to public vote when there is strong support on an issue.

"We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people." John F. Kennedy
